Thursday, 2nd May 2013, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
This event will launch the recently published book Public Mental Health: Global Perspectives (McGraw-Hill). Editors Lee Knifton and Neil Quinn invite you to join them to hear a short presentation followed by an open debate involving some of the UK-based contributors to the book.
Mental health is a fundamental public health priority, and this stimulating and comprehensive book brings together all of the key issues to offer an overview for students and practitioners alike. Written by a team of leading international experts, the book summarises the evidence base and asks the key questions at the heart of a range of topics, from community development to public mental health in schools, and recovery and well-being.
Following the launch you will have the opportunity to network with others over lunch and buy your own copy of the book. You then have the opportunity to attend one of the two following events showcasing our work in the mental health sector.
Find out more about the recent update to the guidelines on reporting mental health and suicide in the media or how to increase your clinical research portfolio straight after the book launch.
