Engage with Strathclyde

Engage with Strathclyde is one of the University’s key programmes for outreach and engagement events. Historically, Engage with Strathclyde has run a programme of events around the start of May with a focus on engagement with industry, the third and public sectors and government. In 2024, Engage with Strathclyde will run a series of events between 29th April and 10th May, but the call for proposals is also open to events that could take place out with these dates and events with a focus on public or community engagement can be included.

We are now seeking dynamic event proposals for Engage with Strathclyde 2024. Events can range from interactive workshops, engaging information sessions to public lectures and diverse networking events. By being part of the Engage with Strathclyde programme, you will benefit from our comprehensive event support, including logistics management, personalised event web pages, coordinated registration support, and assistance to evaluate your event.

Open to staff at any career stage, this is your chance to share your research and KE with relevant audiences and form or strengthen partnerships for future collaboration. Submit your expression of interest form before Monday 15th January, and we’ll be in touch to discuss your idea. Event proposals that meet the outlined criteria below will be given priority in the programme's selection process. Proposals should include:

  • A comprehensive event outline and agenda.
  • A specific, identified audience and a clear idea of how to reach them.
  • SMART objectives and outcomes.
  • Clear post-event follow-up plans.
