Building agreement across finance and policy communities as to the societal value and merit of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) has been challenging. Our work considers the type of economic narratives that may help build consensus around public support of CCS.

This event is hosted by the Centre for Energy Policy (CEP), University of Strathclyde will showcase the latest economy-wide research findings and offer an opportunity for delegates to discuss how a macroeconomic case may (or may not) be made for CCS.  The workshop will report and consider CEPs response to the 2018 Cost Reduction Challenge Taskforce and Carbon Capture Use and Storage (CCUS) Council deliberations.

Refreshments will be available with registration from 2.30pm, and following the event.

This event will be followed by the latest in a series of Centre for Energy Policy Energy Conversations: What are the Economic Opportunities from Hydrogen? from 6.00pm which you may also wish to attend.  Refreshments will be available 5.00 - 6.00pm.
