The event is inspired by a report on “The financial auditing of distributed ledgers, blockchain and cryptocurrencies”. The debate will begin with an introduction by the Chair, Daniel Broby, Director of Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation and co-author of the report. Our focus will be thoughts on how to address the growing need for financial oversight and an audit trail in a world that is fast moving to digital payments. The audience will be drawn from Accounting and Finance firms from Glasgow and other potential employers and influencers.
Our expert panel consists of Andrew Barry, Director, Risk Analytics at Deloittes; Andrew Smith, Director and Head of Regulatory Control at Morgan Stanley; and Prof. Anton Colella, Visiting Professor Department of Accounting and Finance at the University of Strathclyde and Chief Executive at the Institute for Chartered Accountants in Scotland.
This event is hosted by the Department of Accounting and Finance and the Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation.
