Electrospinning: Explore the Manufacture of Nanofibrous Structures and Coatings for Medical and Industrial Applications

Thursday, 3rd May 2018, 9:45 am - 12:15 pm

Registration from 9:15 am
Registration for this event is closed

This workshop aims to bring together experts in the field of nanoscience and technology from across the engineering and life sciences sectors, with a shared interest in electrospinning and related techniques for the fabrication of 3D nanostructured materials for a wide range of industrial and medical applications.

Delegates will have the opportunity to learn more about the unique challenges and opportunities that this versatile technique affords, and through network building, seek to facilitate the translation and scale-up of laboratory-based research to the healthcare, life sciences and food industry sectors.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 9.15am and the event will be followed by lunch at 12.15pm.

You may also be interested in attending Biofluid Mechanics for Industrial Applications event which takes place from 2.00 pm.

Who should attend?

Industrial and academic researchers in healthcare, life sciences, and food and drink sectors interested in the manufacture of nanostructured materials, including:

  • Applications surface treatment or polymer coating processes.
  • Electrode fabrication, sensor development and filtration technology.

Benefits of attending

Hear from - and network with - leading researchers and entrepreneurs, as well as representatives from the MedTech industries will be showcasing their technologies.
