Improving lives in Malawi - Building Partnerships to Provide Future Solutions

Thursday, 5th May 2016, 1:15 pm - 4:00 pm

Registration from 12:30 pm

This event offers the opportunity to discover the influential research of Strathclyde and our partners in Malawi in the themes of Water, Health, Energy and Education, and to explore the future work of the Programme.

The Scottish Government has supported much of this work to date, but we are keen to include more partners to extend the impact of this work.

After a plenary introduction to the programme, delegates can join break-out focus groups on the specific thematic areas of work.

Registration from 12.30pm with lunch provided.

Who should attend?

  • Governmental organisations - DFID, FCO, Scottish Government, local authorities.

  • Energy, Water, Education or Health related enterprises with international focus.

  • Community Health Organisations.

  • Charities, NGOs and educational trusts.

  • Consultants in the International Development Sector.

  • People interested in working in partnership with Strathclyde in Malawi, or elsewhere in Africa.

Benefits of attending

The University of Strathclyde has worked with partners in Malawi for over 20 years.  Hear about the impact of this work and explore opportunities to influence future activities of the programme.
