What Makes a Successful City?A Future Cities Workshop

This one-day event will showcase the University of Strathclyde's Institute for Future Cities and introduce you to the City Observatory in the new Technology and Innovation Centre.

This interdisciplinary workshop, designed for a wide audience, will look at wellbeing, energy, security, urban design, transport, and data analytics in the context of improving city life.  

Director Richard Bellingham will be joined by a wide range of speakers including: 

  • David Page, Head of Architecture, Page\Park Architects

  • Cathy Johnston, Group Manager, Development and Regeneration Services at Glasgow City Council

  • Scott Cain, Executive Director, Strategy, Business Development and Communications at the Future Cities Catapult

  • Jeremy Levesley, Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Leicester

  • Ross Hunter, Managing Director of Graven Images

  • Marilyn Lennon, Chancellor's Fellow in Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Strathclyde.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 9.30am and the event starts at 9.55am.
