Tuesday, 29th April 2014, 5:15 pm - 7:00 pm
Please join the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and the Computer & Information Sciences Department for our first digital entrepreneurship event. We will be showcasing some of the best ‘apps’ developed through a year-long collaboration between students from both Departments. In addition to this tradeshow, we will have a keynote speech from local entrepreneur Norrie Innes who is currently involved in the development of an exciting tech cluster at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. Finally, Raj Sark, founder of Lupo, a ‘smart device finder’ that has recently secured £27,488 worth of funding on Kickstarter, will be there from the Strathclyde Enterprise Hub to share his experience of establishing a tech business. Please come along for an inspirational evening exploring the future of digital entrepreneurship in Glasgow!
The event is aimed at businesses, public sector workers, students and academics. If you are interested in seeing how technology is being used to solve everyday problems then please attend. You may even find something you can take back to your own place of work!
Attendees will be first to hear about exciting developments at the Barrowlands and the University of Strathclyde. You can network with fellow tech-enthusiasts and speak directly with Raj and find out how to successfully launch a tech venture.
