This lunchtime event will provide a window into the work of Management Science and the IDeA Centre.

This session will explore the impact of modelling methods in supporting evidence-based design of game-changing wind farm service vessels. With increasing roll-out of renewable energy, wind farms are moving further offshore. To reduce energy costs, there is a demand for more innovative, specialised ships that are tailored to this operating environment. Our team will present on a close collaboration between Strathclyde researchers and vessel designers, and the role of modelling to target design choices that enhance the operational impact of these specialised vessels.

Who should attend?

This event will be particularly relevant to the offshore wind industry, but will also be of interest to a general audience.

Benefits of attending

This event will provide attendees with a broad understanding of the role Management Science can play in enabling evidence-based decisions in the energy sector and beyond.
