An overview of the University’s distinctive contributions to society and the economy and an outline of its recent achievements, goals and strategy, from the leadership of the University and its governing body, the Court.

This one-hour event will include:

  • a welcome and introduction to the University Court by the Convener of Court, Dame Sue Bruce;
  • an overview of the University’s contributions, achievements, recent performance and future plans by the Principal, Professor Sir Jim McDonald;
  • an opportunity to put questions to the University leadership and governing body.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in the University’s contributions to the city, the region and the wider economy and society, and how the University operates. For example, current and potential industry partners, partners in the development of the city and region, other organisations that interact with the University, members of the public. Staff and students of the University are also welcome to attend.

Benefits of attending

This is an opportunity to hear from the leadership of the University and the body that oversees it, the University Court. Attendees will gain an understanding how the University is governed and will learn about its recent achievements and contributions to society, industry and the economy, as well as plans for the future. There will be opportunities to put questions on any of these topics to the University management and Court members.
