This event will provide an overview of the AI and Big Data training, support and hardware facilities available to Industry, the Public Sector and any academic partners at the ARCHIE-WeSt Research Computing Centre (University of Strathclyde).

ARCHIE-WeSt has recently upgraded its AI and Big Data capability to include eight NVidia A100 GPUs along with almost 1PB of high-performance storage. Unlike simply using the cloud, ARCHIE-WeSt can provide training, support and access to experts as well as the hardware itself.

There will be presentations from the ARCHIE-WeSt Team and existing industry users, followed by discussion and a Q&A session to help us assess the needs of Industry users in the West of Scotland.

Who should attend?

This event is aimed at potential non-academic users and any academic partners, who have a requirement for training and support in the area of AI and Big Data and who would benefit from using the ARCHIE-WeSt facilities at the University of Strathclyde. Relevant sectors include: Engineering, Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, Fintech, HealthTech & Space.

Benefits of attending

This event will introduce anyone interested in AI and Big Data, to staff at the University of Strathclyde who are able to provide training, support and a route to access the ARCHIE-WeSt facilities. These include leading edge NVidia A100 GPUs and almost 1PB of high performance storage.
