Communicating about health happens interpersonally, within groups and social networks, in healthcare settings, through the mass media and social media, news, entertainment, art, advertising campaigns, computer games, and lots more. If you work on any of these topics, this event is for you!

We will map out where the discipline stands in the UK and brainstorm how it can be consolidated and strengthened through collective action.

Two guest speakers, Professor Thomas N. Friemel and Dr Sarah Geber from the Department of Communication and Media Research - Media Use & Effects at University of Zurich and editors of the European Journal of Health Communication, will share recent developments in the discipline across Europe and upcoming initiatives.
