Thursday, 20th May 2021, 10:30 am - 2:45 pm
Registration from 10:20 amFour years on from the launch of the Age-Friendly Academy, this event will give attendees a flavour of what Strathclyde has to offer for older adults across Scotland and beyond - focusing on the Centre for Lifelong Learning’s move to live, online learning due to COVID-19.
Kicking the event off will be our guest speaker, Gavin Esler, journalist, writer and broadcaster with his own take on lifelong learning and how it has shaped his career.
This will be followed by short presentations from our researchers on aging-related research. Learning for Health and Wellbeing will also be explored and you will have the chance to take part in ‘live’ online class taster sessions to give you the full Strathclyde experience.
