The hospitality industry has been one of the sectors most impacted by COVID-19 restrictions. This event looks at research carried out on the effects over the last year on employees working in this industry.

A panel of experts from the sector will discuss and debate the results of a large-scale research survey conducted by a team at The University of Strathclyde. The research explores the treatment and experiences of workers in the Scottish hospitality sector and the impact of COVID-19 has had on the current employment environment.

Two of the researchers will join the panel alongside representatives from the hospitality and tourism sector including employers, and organisations such as the Scottish Tourism Alliance, the Scottish Government and trade unions.

There will be a 20 minute Q&A session to close the event.

Who should attend?

This is a public event and will be of interest to HR professionals, academics, policymakers with an interest in both work and employment as well as employers and workers in the hospitality sector and their representatives.
