Wednesday, 6th May - Thursday, 7th May 2020
(10:00 am - 2:00 pm)
We regret to inform you that this event is now cancelled.
This event will take place across 2 days and delegates will be signed up for both days. Day 1 will start with registration at 9:30 and will conclude at 16:30. Day 2 will start with registration at 9:00 and will conclude at 14:00.
Hosted by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) Student Chapter, this event will feature three plenary speakers and a range of contributed talks and poster presentations, from postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career academics.
The event aims to provide insight into how mathematics and statistics can be applied to solve problems across a range of disciplines and, notably, to problems that are industrially relevant.
The plenary speakers, from both academia and industry, will present a strong case for the need of postgraduate-level skills in applied mathematics; the contributed talks and poster presentations will showcase cutting-edge research.
Speakers to include:
