A Workshop on Social Security and GenderUsing Law to Challenge Inequality

This event aims:

  • To bring together civil society organisations (CSOs), policy makers and academics to exchange knowledge, identify gaps  and reach shared understandings of how social security reforms impact gender equality in Scotland
  • To consider implications for: violence against women policy; economic inequalities; other impacted groups, e.g. children and care recipients
  • To identify how law might be used most effectively in this context
  • To agree a shared research agenda for follow-on activities including funding bids

  • Women’s organisations
  • Specialist equality organisations
  • Academics and researchers with expertise in social security, violence against women, economics and gender equality law.
