Increasing diversity and inclusion in the Wind and Marine Energy Systems Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Strathclyde has been a key target for the Centre.  Through close collaboration with SSE, a complete review of recruitment practices has taken place and together with a pilot internship, showed that relatively small changes can have a huge impact.

This event will discuss and demonstrate best practice that can easily be translated into industry and academia.  It will feature talks from practitioners who have had significant successes, and who are looking to share their knowledge and experiences.  The keynote speaker is Rosie MacRae, Head of Diversity and Inclusion for SSE.

Following this, there will be a panel discussion with the opportunity for you to ask questions.  The panel will include the event speakers including Rosie MacRae, and they will be joined by Dawn Hurst, CEO of Equal Approach (TBC).

Registration and refreshments available from 10.00am and you are welcome to stay for lunch when the event closes.

This event will be relevant to company CEOs, technical team leaders, recruitment leads, academics, members of HR (both university and industry) and anyone who has an interest in increasing their businesses performance via increased diversity and inclusion.
