The 2018 Mary Kilborn Lecture will be delivered by rising star Ladislav Timulak, a psychotherapy researcher and important figure in the international emotion-focused therapy community.

In this lecture, Ladislav will describe his personal journey from his training as a Person-Centred Therapist in Slovakia, through a series of experiences that led to the development of a highly effective application of emotion-focused therapy to generalised anxiety difficulties (GAD).

Registration and refreshments will be available from 6.00pm with the lecture starting at 6.30pm.  It will be followed by a networking reception until 8.30pm.


Who should attend?

  • Members of the counselling practitioner community of Scotland and beyond.
  • Graduates from the University of Strathclyde’s Counselling Unit.
  • Representatives of organisations that are, or could benefit from becoming placement partners for Counselling Unit MSc students.
  • Current students on Counselling Unit postgraduate courses and their supervisors.
