Registration from 1:00 pmThe Draft Scottish Energy Strategy consultation presents a range of policy options that Scotland could adopt to achieve its ambitious CO2 emissions goals but how is long-term infrastructure investment to be managed to cope with the changes?
We invite you, as energy policy stakeholders, to attend this event and contribute to the consultation. Professor Alf Young will challenge several energy-sector experts on the difficult questions around operating in an environment of competing investment demands where some solutions, such as migrating to electricity, are both technically challenging and rely on the participation of many policy makers, private firms and households.
This event is one of a series of Energy Conversations hosted by the Centre for Energy Policy (CEP) in response to the Scottish Government Energy Strategy consultation.

Attendees will gain first-hand insight into one of the major investment challenges of the Scottish Energy Strategy. They will have an opportunity to pose questions in the Q&A session and by contributing to the attendees’ inputs, will inform CEP’s own contribution to the Scottish Government’s public consultation process, which will be published on CEP’s website.
