3D Printing for Medical Technologies

Registration from 9:30 amThis event will showcase the latest developments in 3D printing technologies for medical applications, which will one day transform current practices.
Dr Will Shu (Department of Biomedical Engineering) will give an overview of Strathclyde's 3D bioprinting expertise and capabilities to produce tissues and organs for medical transplantation, personalised medicine and drug development.
Following that, there will be talks from both an industry and clinical perspective:
- Prof. Frederic.Picard (Golden Jubilee National Hospital, GJNH) is a pioneer in the area of computer-assisted surgery (CAS). Since July 2005 he has been a full time Orthopaedic Consultant at the GJNH.
- Mr. James Cross - Technical Sales Engineer, SYS Systems
Registration and refreshments will be available from 9.30am. Lunch will be provided from 1pm.
