3rd Climate and Sustainability Project (CASP) WorkshopAgenda 2030: Building Bridges

The Climate and Sustainability Project (CASP) is a student-led initiative from The University of Strathclyde Law School and the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance.  The 2017 workshop focuses on “mainstreaming” International Environmental Law in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This interactive workshop will feature input and discussion from a distinguished panel of experts who will also provide comment on the two draft working papers that the CASP students will have produced in advance of the workshop. 

Confirmed speakers are:

  • Mike Robinson - Chief Executive, Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
  • Jeremie Gilbert - Professor of International and Comparative Law, University of East London.
  • Julie Gibson - Junior Consultant at Cardno Emerging Markets.
  • Francesco Sindico - Director of the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance.
  • Daniela Diz - Researcher at the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance.

Registration and refreshments will be available from 8.30am.  The formal programme closes at 4.30pm and will be followed by a drinks reception.

This event is part of the 2017 Festival of Environmental Law and Governance. 


Who should attend?

  • Environmental law and governance and sustainable development professionals.
  • Postgraduate students from across the University of Strathclyde interested in sustainability matters.
  • Postgraduate students from other Scottish and English universities, especially those enrolled in LLM programmes with an interest in environmental law and governance.
