Wednesday, 3rd May 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Registration from 1:00 pm

The Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance is pleased to host a Roundtable on Brexit and the Environment in Scotland. Building on our ongoing research on Brexit, this roundtable will bring together practitioners and academics from Scotland, the UK and the EU to explore the risks and opportunities that the UK’s exit from the EU will entail for environmental governance in Scotland. The roundtable discussions will explore visions for the future of environmental law and governance in Scotland, with a focus on:

 • Participatory rights and access to justice • Nature protection, agriculture, forestry and wildlife crime • Climate change and sustainable energy • Chemicals and wastes • Fisheries.

The event is open to invitees only.

We welcome all attendees to join us for a networking lunch from 1pm-2pm prior to the event beginning at 2pm.

This event will be followed by the opening of the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance, to which we welcome all attendees.
