Applied Mathematics for Nature and TechnologySociety for Industrial Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Student Chapter Meeting 2017

This event will showcase leading experts in, and users of, applied mathematics.  It aims to provide insight into how mathematics and statistics can be used to solve problems across a range of disciplines. Speakers from academia and industry will present a strong case for the value of postgraduate-level skills in applied and computational mathematics.

Dr. Maria Bruna - University of Oxford

Dr. Kerem Akartunali - Management Science, University of Strathclyde

Registration and refreshments will be available from 1.30pm. The event will conclude with a networking wine reception from 6pm-7pm. 


Who should attend?

The event is aimed at postgraduate students and early-career researchers, including SIAM members, as well as representatives from industry who want to find out about ways of using applied mathematics within their work.
