Fair Work in Scotland: Bridging Gaps in the Gig Economy A review of employment practices in the Scottish food delivery work

The aim of this event is to present the findings of the report on Fair Work in the Scottish gig economy, and highlight the disparities and challenges faced by workers in Scotland's workforce in the food delivery sector.

The event will:

  • Propose policy guidelines based on Fair Work Principles to address issues in the food delivery platform industry;  
  • Promote dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders to foster fair treatment for delivery couriers and platform companies;
  • Emphasise the need for a balanced approach to technological progress and equitable labour practices in Scotland.

There will be Q&A session to engage the audience and gather insights, and networking opportunities for connection and collaboration.
