Join us to celebrate the launch of the 2024 Images of Research  competition - Exploring the Unseen.

We are delighted to welcome the University's Principal, Professor Sir Jim McDonald to launch the exhibition and announce the category winners.

This year's competition is comprised of five categories, one of which is a special category in honour of Strathclyde's Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years since the Royal Charter was signed.

The categories are:

  • Capturing Collaboration - showcasing the transformative power of collaboration and partnership working within the realms of research, knowledge exchange and innovation.
  • Societal Spark - Igniting change through innovation. This category centres demonstrates how research and innovation can bring about positive, real-world impact and tackle societal challenges.
  • The Human Element - shining a spotlight on research in the health, care and wellbeing space.
  • Preserving Our Planet - showcasing research focused on lessening the impact of human activities on the environment.
  • Diamond Jubilee - Exploring the Unseen - this open category captures the unseen and often-overlooked behind the scenes aspects of research.

Thanks to our sponsors Jessops for providing a prize for each of the category winners.
