Registration for this event is closed

This is an online presentation about the use of ultrasound in speech therapy, specifically for children with cleft palate +/- cleft lip who have difficulties saying some sounds. The results of a recent test study that compared ultrasound speech therapy to the usual treatment will be presented. There will also be plenty of time for questions and to meet the researchers, Joanne Cleland and Maria Dokovova, and the Speech and Language Therapist, Lisa Crampin, who carried out both speech therapy interventions.

Who should attend?

Everyone is welcome. This event will be particularly interesting to families of children with cleft palate +/- cleft lip or adults with cleft palate +/- cleft lip.

Benefits of attending

This event provides an opportunity to meet the people (research and practicing Speech and Language Therapists) who are developing a new ultrasound speech therapy for children with cleft palate +/- cleft lip. In addition, the results of a new study that tested this therapy will be presented.
