Registration from 9:30 amThis event will introduce attendees to new methods used to measure and analyse diversity.
Societies are increasingly diverse due to increased migration flows and enhanced social and geographic mobility, bringing new challenges for policy-makers, educators and practitioners. Understanding the complex interactions between dimensions of ethnicity, country of origin, gender, age, and social class is needed to help to reach goals of inclusivity, equity and social justice.
Based on these insights, the event will provide an opportunity to discuss applications of new methods with industry and also the implications on University Diversity Policies.
Participants are welcome to join us for a networking lunch following the event.
This event is aimed at researchers, policy-makers and practitioners interested in analysing the interactions between different dimensions of diversity and their impact on the entrepreneurship, science and education. This includes people analysing data on diversity of the population, and providing recommendations based on scientific evidence for inclusive policies.
Find out about new methods which have been developed to measure, assess, and analyse diversity in different fields. These include novel methods based on big datasets, machine learning, indices, and complementary qualitative approaches.
There will be time for discussion on applications for research and policy, as well as time to explore potential collaborations.
