From Dancing Bridges To Burning Soils:Tours of the new state-of-the-art labs in Civil and Environmental Engineering

Wednesday, 30th April 2014, 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Registration for this event is closed

This event explores the fascinating world of Civil and Environmental Engineering which explains why it’s more than just bridges and dams. This is an opportunity to visit our new state-of-the art laboratories and see how they can be used with industry partnerships and collaborative working.

The £6M new facility brings together the department’s numerous multi-disciplinary laboratories into a single, interdisciplinary unit. This not only consolidates resources, but fosters the interdisciplinary nature of the research required in contemporary civil and environmental engineering, and which contribute to tackling industrial and societal issues.

Lab tours and exhibits will provide delegates with an opportunity to view current research activities, and demonstrate how these integrate with knowledge exchange activities and industry.

There will be three key timings for the lab tours: 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30. Please book one of the time slots when you register for this event.
